The restaurant Alfonso Valderas began its journey in 1998. It was the bet of Alfonso, who was born in Valderas, to bring their traditional “Valderas cod”(cod in olive oil, garlic and paprika), to the centre of the beautiful city of León.
The cod arrives to our restaurant in boxes of 25 kilos of weight. We take on the desalination, the requirement to bone and the cutting up of the cod. All this process it is what´s make the cod arrives to the table perfectly, with the accurate content of salt and guaranteeing its flavour.
Every year we celebrate “Jornadas de Bacalao y Carne Roja”, that is to say, we have 15 meeting-days (approximately) in which we offer an excellent menu in order to take pleasure in tasting Cod and Red Meat. In this way, we make the difference.
In addition, our restaurant is a great point of reference in the province for the our great selection of dishes for Celiacs.
