STORY

Alfonso Valderas Restaurant started its activity in 1998. At that time, it is the task of Alfonso, a native of Valderas, to bring the traditional dish in the town of Tierra de Campos, salted cod, to León, the capital city of the province. His aim was always to make this particular fish his speciality, offering also the best local products from the surrounding area. During this time, our menus have offered more than twenty different ways of tasting this magnificent product. Likewise, red meat, of excellent quality, has become the other speciality of the house.

The daily demand for good practice and the highest standards is a fundamental part of our philosophy and this is what has taken us to where we are today, after more than twenty years’ experience. The search for a job well-done, integrity and commitment are characteristics that describe our entire team.

With the generational handover in 2023, Carlota and Raquel are in charge of leading the restaurant into a new era, by preserving their father Alfonso’s philosophy, the pillars of which are the quality of the cuisine and customer service.

THE SETTING

Our restaurant has three dining rooms, which allow you to enjoy a warm, pleasant atmosphere in agreeable surroundings.
